The 700 voltage regulator (on the back of the alternator) is non adjustible and usually set very low. Mine was set about 13volts. You can get an adjustable one here:http://www.linkline.com/personal/dbarton/. Readjust your voltage to 14-14.5 volts and your troubles will be cured. By the way I also reccommend the calibrated boost guage dial. Turns out that the stock boost guage really is accurate just uncalibrated.
