Ignoring common sense I splashed through a rather large puddle the other day which stalled my car.
First thought was wet ignition. After drying out and no success I replaced cap and rotor----no success. Engine was pretty gas washed so I removed plugs dried out the cylinder and put new plugs in. Engine instantly flooded first turn of the key. Once again I removed plugs and dried out cylinders. This time I started the vechicle with the fuel pump fuse removed and it turned right over and ran just fine until I stuck the fuse back in which instantly flooded the engine. I can get the car to run by pushing the fuse in and out quickly. This little trick also leads me to believe the relay is working since it clicks away nicely as I do it. After reading the many articles here I have some ideas but was hoping someone could give me some diagnostic tips and head me in the right direction. FPR perhaps? AMM??
P.S. Fuel pump was replace 2 months ago.
