Piston Slap 700 1986

I can garantee that it is not a conrod bearing. It would have pitched the rod out of the block long ago if it was. Just keep driving it and monitor the noise level. If it suddenly begins to change, it may be an idea to put a set of pistons in it, or if you have one of the blocks that develops a lot of taper, and the pistons are OK, sleeve the block and re-use the pistons.
