sometime headlights 700 1990

Had same on my 1988=740 estate 2 years ago.
Was advised to swop or play around with relay connections.
May not be relays fault though, could be that some bozo has put over powered bulbs in to try to get better vision at night, so check headlamp bulbs are correct as this could cause relay to be 'cutting out'.
