My Motor Mount Experience 200 1991

I wonder how it is that motor mounts are ALWAYS oil-soaked, even on
the newer models! (In my book anything after about 1975 is a newer
model.) I would think that on the leanover engines the oil filter would
be easier to get to, but I guess engineers view working space in the engine
room as anathema. For some reason my mounts have stayed fairly clean,
and thus in fairly good shape since I replaced them in the mid-80s.
I wish I could say the same for the blocks, heads, etc! I guess part of my
success is that all my active ones have neoprene front oil seals.
The rest of them will in the process of reactivation. (C'm ON, cool weather!!)
