In my visits to the wreakers yard, I've found some cars I've gotten very attached to that I regularly pulled parts off.
The yard I use is Sydney's huge Pick n' Pay less, whose main bussiness is in scrap, but makes a tidy profit leaving the rust free cars out in the yard for a while before crushing them. People come along with there own tools, and the yard makes a few hundred dollars in parts off each car that they were paid to tow away and were going to be crushed anyway.
This means that the cars I get so attached to are eventually put down.
What we should do is, on the day they come to crush them, give these old bricks one final crunch before they get turned into steel cubes. A demolition derby at the of the salvage yard. I'm sure management wouldn't mind.
