Yes, I had a similar problem on my 740 for about a year.
Having a new windshield fitted (it cracked) has cured it by increasing the clearance between the screen and dash.
It appears that the black goo that Volvo use to fit the glass stays soft or goes soft and the glass slowly sinks into it until the two parts meet.
