M/C clunk 444-544

Hello all,
My 65 544 has developed a noticable "clunk" when I first press the pedal. I replaced everything but the m/c and brake pedal a few months ago. There is no loss of stopping power, no spongy/fade.
Is it time to rebuild or replace the master cylinder?
Does anyone have any thoughts on rebuilding them...I don't want to pinch pennies on a single circuit car.
