Well you can tell yer firend he's full-o!@#$ as can be as far as coatings. A Ceramic coating is pretty much the equal of commercially available stainless. Darn special in other words.

I have two .500" thicck flanges made for a custome header that I never seem to get to.

Currently running a 140E manifold and headpipe, coated, on my 544 and very happy.
