Charging System Problems 200 1981

The neat thing to do would be to put the alternator on a testing machine.

If you can't do that.. you may be lucky and have just fried the regulator
(not that there are a whole lot of complex parts in an alternator). Easy
swap.

If you have a junkyard near you, you would probably have decent luck with
a used unit.. otherwise Dave Barton sells nice adjustable Bosch units
(internal, external, and external conversions for the newer alts).
