Dash Pad Removal 140-160

Its been awhile but my memory is that it is actually pretty simple. The hardest bit is removing the shear-bolts that connect the steering colunm and lock to the bottom of the dash. I usually use a hack saw and saw one kerf up into the shear-bolt deep enough for a big flat bladed screwdriver to get a grip on and then unscrew it. Others have suggested a hammer with a sharp punch to turn the bolts. Other than that, it is just a matter of disconnecting the intrument cluster, heater controls and switches before final unbolting. I know two bolts are acessed from the doorjam. I don't remember how many others there are.

Oh, yes - you are Down Under, so your steering wheel is on the opposite side. Don't know how much difference that will make.

Good Luck!
