I can tell you this:
1. I just put a Blaupunkt in my '90 240. My local car stereo store had two harnesses designed to fit the 240 series. One of them might work for you. One was the standard 9-pin square block connector (the one I needed) that will do the power connections and the front speakers, leaving the rears twisting in the wind. The other had some rectangular connectors that should have done all four sepakers, had I had that type of connectors in my car.
2. I did not have to cut a single wire behind the dash. As I said, the power and front speaker connections terminated in a 9-pin bullet-type block connector plugged into the receiver. The rear speakers terminated in a similar four-pin connector off the amp. This connector sits right behind the receiver, and is not necessarily easily recognized as part of the stereo. I junked up a similar connector and wired it up to my new receiver, and voilą: I had a simple plug-in connection. Then I removed the amp completely.
If your '93 has similar hookups, you're golden. If not, then I apologize for not being able to help.
