custom heat shield from old computer case 700

Thought some of you might appreciate this. All you need is a old computer case. Good way to recycle what would other wise be junk.


Original case. Mounted in car with cone filter. This was to test to see if the case would actually shield heat well.



It shielded heat very well. Better than I expected. Really it makes sense it would. Considering how hot it gets inside computer cases they are suprisingly often cool to the touch on the outside. The metal on the cone filter was cool to the touch after a 15psi run. My next step was to cosmetically improve the heat shield and add tin foil for added heat shielding.
