I think that did it! 200 1988

Sounds good.
If it holds up for another 3-4 weeks, I'd get 10-12 quarts of synthetic ATF (I'm partial to AMSOIL, with Mobil 1 as next choice). Then repeat the operation. Should be the last time you have to fool with it.

If you don't, or won't, go synthetic, just change what is in the pan at least every 15,000 miles or so and you'll be good to go.
