Ok, I mailed the seller. I think it was a mistake, kinda. It was advertised as 164-early 240 tach, maybe he didn't know it wasn't the correct tach, maybe he had it installed and never realized it was not accuarate. First of all, I should have realized that it might not work(164-240). Anyway I said I couldn't get it to work, Let me ask if what I did to get it to work would have gotten it to work, I just put a wire from the #1 terminal to the center connecter marked #1 on the tach. This was done with tach in my hand by the coil with a short wire. As I read the wiring chart in my Chiltons book, I see a + and a - on the little tach picture..I assume that is connectors that connect from the back of the tach to the rear of the insterment panel during installation correct? It's kinda making a little more sense to me now that it wouldn't have worked when I tested it. I couldn't find any loose wires that might connect to the tach in the dash. I was looking for a red/white wire. But only saw one, and that was already going into the circular prong connectors.(above to the right of the tach, but behind the panel) All other wires seemed to already have a place to go. Let me apoligize for sounding like an idiot tring to explain this all..I am somewhat new to all of this but I am determined to figure this, and alot of other quirks I have been coming across,out. I truly LOVE this wagon. Does any of this make sense?.Thanks for all of your help, It is grately appricated. Franco79 P.S.
