Normal engine reconditioning practices allow for +020,+030,+040, with some +060.At +030 i would have block measured at point of maximum wear[usually no1 where colder water from radiator hits water jacket] to make sure it will clean up at +040. Shops that have vertical boring bars can setup extremly accurately as against portable boring bars where there is a risk of leaving witness marks. Regards Jack McIntyre.
