I posted an earlier message about my '89 740tic idling rough only after warming up (and never on acceleration or above 1500rpm).
in response to earlier posts, i've narrowed it down to something associated with the FPR.
Here's the deal:
When I disconnect the vacuum hose to the FPR, I don't see or smell gas on the vacuum end of the unit, BUT, the idle increases and the rough idle dissapears.
SO: is it a problem with the FPR, or is it a problem with the other end of the vacuum hose (i.e. throttle body, etc. plus, i've checked all vacuum hoses . . . all seemed fine . . . and even replaced many of them just to be sure).
I've come this far without replacing any unnecessary parts, thanks to brickboard. I'd love it if you guys could all help me finish this issue efficiently.
thanks,
brian
