Drivers side power seat cable problem. Has anyone seen this before??? S90-V90

The problem may be that one end of the cable is going too far into the gear shaft and thus not leaving enough cable to reach inside the gear shaft on the other end. Cut off a nail about the same diameter of the cable 1/4 to 3/8 inch long and shove it into the motor end of the shaft, insert the cable and then there should be enough cable to seat properly into the other end.
