The Expatriate-here are my thought-helpful info
My abs light stays on most of time and the odometer/Speedometer is not working.
your rear axle toothed sensor wheel sends TWO signals- one to the ABS and the other to the Speedometer!!!!
SO ...check the wiring at the axle- the plug has loose/broken wire-connection is only Just touching!!!!- some days your
system will work until you hit a bump and then BINGO- your ABS lite comes on and the Speedometer Fails!!!>
