Repairs - do myself or have the shop do it 700 1989

1) Very easy, maybe $125 for parts and 2 hours. $380 is absurd.
2) Volvo made ball joint replacement easy. Maybe $25 and an hour or two if your first time.
3) Well, it is 4 gaskets and perhaps only 1 leaksyou can hope the studs come out with the nuts, making it easy to slip the gasket in. If the studs stay in the head the way they are supposed to there are clever ways to remove the old gasket and cut the ears of the new one to slip in around the stud avoiding pulling the whole manifold off the mount studs.
