removing master brake cylinder

You can use the wife's turkey baster to remove about half of the fluid (one compartment). I would use old rags to soak up the rest that will exit once the reservoir is detached- you might get your finger over the opening soon enough to trap some of it. Be sure to rinse the areas that get brake fluid on them as it will damage paint.
