Move the shifter back and forth really fast for about 10 seconds. This will temporarily clean the contacts inside the switch assembly. It's located on the passenger side of the trans and is right next to the exhaust pipe. I have problems with my car's backup lights si I bought thw PNP switch and I need to install it.
