Turbo Replacement 700

I recently replaced my TD05 Mitsubishi Turbo (1989 740--225k). After putting on a remanuf that failed in 4 months, I bought a used one from Swedish Auto Warehouse www. sawvolvo.com. In California but delivered quickly. Nice people and the used had 60,000 miles on it--works perfect.

Get a new oil supply line (Parts Bin)and return line seals (also Parts Bin). Then go to Volvo parts and get new exhaust manifold bolts and gaskets. Make sure you put oil in turbo when installed and follow advice on this site re start up with coil wire pulled so engine won't start but oil will pump into the turbo. Check all hoses.

Overall takes about a three ours (2 to get the oil return line in place!). Do a search on this site for turbo replacement.
