There should be a light that illuminates the shift posiions. It's a bit tricky to replace and involves the console. I've not done it but had to have it replaced to pass safety inspection. Each WSE position also has a light. Each toggle on the dash has it's own light. Theya re tiny lights on a white stem, and they're expensive. Some have found substitutes, but I don't recall what they are. Removal of the dash trim is the trickiest pat. Gregski has posted an exploded diagram of the 960 dash. This is very helpful in safely removing it. Look for it in the archives or the picture gallery.
The cargo covers are are available from Volvo, but as you would expect, not cheap. They do not have the tray, and I don't think this option is available. I have no idea what grey/tan is. Your color code can be looked up on the engine plate in the engine well. The cover can be relatively easily installed, the most important part is the anchor on each side just behind the rear door post. Instructions are sparse, but I've installed two of them Make sure the drill bit is sharp ortherwise it will pull the fabric. The hook attachments on the rear post are pretty easy to install on the 97. Both the slits and screwholes are pre-drilled. Use a pin to locate the hole and above it, but below the top edge of the hard plastic trim. It is a slit. Good luck.
