service light on dash problem 200 1988

The Green light is right of the oil pressure light and left of the trip meter.
It has a bulb in it and things like this puzzle me.
I bought this car for me but the rest of the family has taken it over.
It's 1988 240 wagon 192,500 miles, I guess the bulb for the service light goes.
It does go off after one to two mintues.
