re: "...The biggest problem is difference in flares on hoses pipes and...."
Well, I've got the reverse problem, I think.
I've got a '75 164 (newly acquired, and I haven't dismantled the brakes yet -- would prefer not to until I've got the replacement parts in hand), and I'd like to use 240 parts (easier to get, and I can get more modern upgrades).
I understand that the '75 164 uses different threads on their brake lines than the earlier ones (which I've heard is why '74 and earlier 164 parts don't apply to the '75 164).
Q# 1: I'm hoping that the '75 164 uses the 240's threads -- have you heard anything about this?
Q# 2: Assuming Q#1 is true, than do you know if I can use 240 rotors (vented, of course) and calipers on it -- or would these still need modification (grinding, etc.)?
Thanks.
