Thanks. I guess I was thinking that if there was a "gear sensor", that could be a common thread in the three problems. Oh well.

I've taken the trim piece off the center console, and I see a single black wire that runs next to the gear shift, then through a single grommet and down to the transmission. Down below, it's held in place with a zip-tie, suggesting that someone has worked on this before. What is this wire? Is this the wire for the O/D signal?
