Yes, but which cars had a reputation for rust apart from seventies Italian cars?

Right, British cars. Rustproofing was something they didn't really apply until the eighties. Makes you wonder with a climate like theirs...(ours isn't much better).

And which cars usually suffer electrical problems (again apart from Italian cars)?

British cars.

I'm glad it's Bosch in my Amazon, but I won't pretend Volvos are completely immune to electrical gremlins either (or rust for that matter).
