Adding third brake light--suggestions? caveats? 1985

Because of the burn-out-bulb relay, on a Volvo, you need to take it off the brake light switch.

Does the brake share the same bulb as the blinkers? If so, you'll need a relay (or some call it, a logic circuit) to make it work. Or you'll have to take the wire all the way back to the brake light switch.

Is this going to be mounted on a shell? If so, I think I may still have some that are designed to be top mounted on such, with the relay. I bought a few of 'em when I had my '79.
