It is a tough call regarding what to do or not do at 192,000 miles.

The distributor problem may be the internal seal shaft versus the external seal between the distributor body and head. You would find oil inside the distributor cap if it were this internal seal.

I have only rebuilt one Volvo engine and found it to be an easy task. In your situation, it is a tough choice as to where to stop.
