leaking water pump 700 1985

Same problem I had. I replaced water pump. I found the seal on top was totally gone. You could try buying a new top seal but when shifting the pump to install it you will break the other paper seal and may have problems there also. I bought a new pump with seals and bolts for $65 at dealership.
