I just installed a CD player in my '87 245DL. The guy that I bought my harness and dash kit from said that only a few models came with the amplifier. You can install your own head unit for $40 approx. in parts. Some people say that you'll need an antenna adapter, I did not. Then again, I have the upper dash style radio. The labor is easy if you know basic soldering or crimping. Circuit City wanted $100 to install my CD player, but I didnt buy it from them. I've heard that if you buy from them then you're looking at the $40 in parts plus if they have to do any "extra" labor.. probably another $20-$40.
