Carl,

How did you check the relay? On my '90 740, the same relay (marked "K"), controls the central locking system as well. If your's is so equipped, does your central locking system still work?

I was able to pop the cap off of my relay and verify, at least, that the contacts were movalbe and no seized,. I didn't test them with a meter or current, as that is beyond my skill level.

I currently have a different thread going about problems with my central locking system. When I pull the "K" relay, the low beams no longer work (I'm assuming that means the relay is good, though I suppose it's possible that it's "good" as far as the head lamps go, but "bad" regarding the locking system - any opinion on that?).
