hi again can anyone tell me about the fuel pump under the car next to the accumulator. the one on my 86 244 does not make any noise when i turn the key to the 2nd position. i think it should. i have the haynes manual and have done some reading about the pumps but do not want to go poking around with my tester because i havent figured that tester out yet. and recently i can hear the one in the tank has become alot louder . i am not a mechanic just an installer :{
and buy the way when i start the car the motor bucks like a bronco. and after about 30 seconds to one minute it usually runs fine. when its bucking the tachometer jumps up and down from 500 rpms to 1500 rpms. P.S. i have cleaned and put dielectric grease on alot of different electrical connections. if this isnt the problem it goes to the mechanic so i dont end up on CNN. buy for now and happy new year.
