740's radio settings are lost once a week 700 1988

The radio settings for my 88 740 are lost about once a week. I replaced the radio with one from my 87 740 with the same results. Think there is a bad connection somewhere in the jungle of wires beneath the dash. Has anyone had a similar problem and found the problem?
