I will give you my biased opinion. I own a 92 960 and it is now sitting with a trashed motor(broken timing belt). I had numerous other problems with the car but when it ran it was a great road car. I have since bought a 91 940SE and have been extremely happy with the car. I would look for a late model 940 (94 or 95) with a turbo. the performance will be close and generally don't have near the matainenace problems associated with the 960. The 960 has a very complex engine and is an interfernce engine(means when the timing belt breaks, the valves get bent). The 940 is a non interference engine. I feel I have the best of both with my 940SE as this model is the only one that is esstially a 960 with a B230FT engine.
Well that's my $.02.
