Keep your eyes peeled for a new dash at the boneyard. It is not so hard to replace and will look much better than that dash pad in my opinion. I replaced my pre-81 dash with the +81 style dash and I love it. I must admit that the glare of a naked dash is annoying (like one of the other post mentioned) so I use a cloth dash cover. I take it off when I want to show off my 264GL but put it back on for everyday use. I got my dash for $75 and that was from a Volvo Specialty Yard (more bucks for better parts). Good Luck!
