I recently encountered the same problem 200

I also recently installed a Scan Tech heater valve. Took off the following day on a Christmas road trip and found that the valve would not shut off completely even though the cable was properly adjusted. Drove for the next 3 hours with the window cracked to keep from parboiling the feet. Neither my wife nor I were particularly happy about the situation. Upon returning from my trip, I contacted the vendor (www.autohausaz.com - great place to buy quality stuff at low prices!) who in turn contacted their supplier. They responded that the valves are designed that way. Given my faith in this particular vendor and their willingness to accept returns, I'm inclined to believe their response. I too would be interested in hearing about how to repair the original valve.
