87 or 92 are stock depending what climate you live in... in general the most stock temperature is 87 as I have seen.
87 on all three of my cars has the needle at the 9 o'clock position, with compensation board functional.
82 is too cold to run, actually you are increasing engine wear at that temp. You are better off with the 87 or 92 (92 only if you live in very cold and have no A/C functional).
... So your 92 is fine for now but keep an eye out in the summer. If you sense your engine is running too hot in traffic or with A/C then swap again to an 87 and keep it there, you'll be fine. Take the time to do a good flush with flushing agent and only new coolant, the best medication for longevity.
