The answer is ... it depends. If it's a matter of performance and longer term reliability (say another 300k or more), then a rebuild would make more sense.

If it's just a matter of functionablity, replacing with a used one would be a lot more economical. Find a good one for a couple hundred, you'll be going on for another 120k+.
