gas gauge and odometer 140-160

What year?
On the early ones the nuts on the back of the gas gauge were not quite
right and were probably tightened with a torque-limited device = not tight enough.
Brute force WORKS!!
After almost 20 years of a nonfunct gas gauge I tightened that baby up and
it works FINE!!
