Stalling / rough idle problem. Help needed! 200 1988

Remove the intake accordian hose. Hold it up to a strong light. If there are rips or holes, repair them with elect. tape until you find a replacement. Check all vac hoses. I hope you saved the old AMM. If that repair didn't fix the problem then I would have a talk with the mechanic. Why should you pay for his mis-diagnosis?At least insist on keeping the old AMM. Now you know it's OK. Are your ignition wires either Bougicord or Bosch? No? Pay particular attention to the coil wire. It could be grounding on a metal contact. Check your timing. ALWAYS check the simple things first like the air filter, distributor cap, and rotor,etc....... Good luck!
