They are diff, the gle, turbo and sticks all had diff driveshafts, it would in theroy work anyways the only noticiable problem you will have is the flange connections where it connects to the tranny and the axle, i know that my 86 turbo had different bolt hole size then my 89 non turbo did. the wagon also had a slightly longer drive shaft though this really didnt matter as the shaft is extendable and retract able to a certian degree.
