hi there This is Simone from italy writing.
I don't have a volvo but i wanted to ask your advice.
I have a calibra 2 litres 16v 154 hp no Turbo.
The engine has been replaced completely with a new original opel. All the airfilterbox changed with a newone + the filter.
I replaced all the axhaust pipes the catalitic converter and the muffler.
I replaced the lambda sensor, the debimeter(airmeter), the knok sensor, the temperature water sensor and the dis + cables and the throttle swich sensor.
The car has still 60 hp less and no fault light on the dash.
The car runs smoothly but like it is a Punto.
The computer tech 1 says no problems but how it is possible?
Then sometimes the car has all its power and can reach 228 km/h (tested with a gps).
Then sometimes the car gos very slow without jerking and reaches 182(still with a gps).
when the car goes very well the noise of the engine it's copletely different and beautiful.
When instead goes slow you can ear a low strange sound in the aspiration and you can here almost the pistons breathing.
I read somewhere that can be a fault of the cam sensor that doesen'tgive the right advanced timing.
Should i replaced it?
Is it possible have a fault of a sensor without having the fault light on?
