Volvobub did an awesome B21ft swap. Its working out great for him. Sounds like a lot of work but an OHC motor is better than pushrod... there is a reason why volvo hasn't used them in almost 30 years. I'd have to say using a turbo charged OHC motor would be the best route for reliable performance
