Do Volvo RWD's have a differential vent?

There is a small metal tube (brass, if I rmember right) inserted into the top of the right hand axle housing tube. This metal tube has a clear plastic tube pushed onto it, and the other end is inserted in a grommet in the chassis.

I have not seen a blockage in the differetial vent, and we own a lot of Volvos.
