Was all that necessary? S90-V90

I replaced the vacuum motors on my heater/AC last fall and I was looking at the heater core after I got the front off. Were there any fasteners on the back side of the housing holding the core in place? When I was looking at the core I was thinking all I would have to do is disconnect the stuff on the engine side of the firewall to get it out?

I only had the radio and relay box out in order to get the front of the housing off.

Did you follow the procedure in the Volvo "Green" workshop manual?
