alternator sound from speakers

the alternator stops as soon as the engine does. does the noise stop then or does it wind down after? if it stops with the engine, there is noise suppresor on the back of the alt that is missing or quit. if it continues after the engine stops, pull the fuse to the blower and try again. good luck, chuck.
