Weber Carb Question

Maybe someone knows what this is. I thought I was purchasing a 38/38DGAS on ebay and under closer inspection it turns out to be a 42DFC. It doesn't fit a 32/36DGV manifold like the 38DGAS would, much larger. Unfortunately the ebay auction was months ago, too late to contact the seller.
What I want to find out is what application this fits, so I can put it back on ebay since it's worthless to me. Also anyone got a 38/38 they would part with on the cheap? It's for my 164 downdraft experiment, adapting a FI intake plenum to hold a downdraft weber. I'm sure the 32/36 would be too small for a 3.0L engine.
