In any case I wouldn't get hung up on there being 20 vs 19 or 18 clicks. It's a pretty crude accelerator pump thing it is doing. As long as you get some extra injector fires when you open the throttle you'll help prevent a lean stumble on the transition. It's a pretty subtle drivability tweak - you probably wouldn't notice if it was totally unplugged. Just make sure that both pairs of injectors (#1 & 3, #2 & 4) are firing when you do it. Just open the hood, turn the key on, don't start, go around and open the throttle by hand, listen for faint clicks from the injectors.
As an unrelated check of injector function you can loosen all 4 injector collars, give each injector a little wiggle to break the friction, and pull the whole fuel rail and injectors off the mounts with all wires and hoses attached, then turn the ignition on a few times (to build full fuel pressure) then use the throttle opening to fire the injectors while you look for weak or non-firing or leaking injectors.
Err - and don't leave the ignition on for too terribly long without the engine running, chances are current is flowing through the ignition coil and it will burn out in a constant pull....
